I found the location and the layout of the grounds interesting. The facsimile of his original house was lovely through I suspect it was a romanticised version. I wouldn't miss not seeing it.

Amazing site and very we organised. You get to see the body of Ho Chi Minh, guarded and all very dignified. Then you can walk round his old residence, see his cars, view the one-leg pagoda - all very well organised, well worth a morning there!

It was a mistake of timing to go there in Sunday’s morning. Under the hot sunlight, we stood with huge number of people in line from the gate. It is a long path to go through main spots. After the mausoleum, we passed by HCM’s house. The house and surroundings delivers the picture of a humble leader with refined hobbies....

we found this to be fairly ordinary and we'd recommend it only if you have time to spare - otherwise work your way acros the site to the huge museum dedicated to Viet Nam and primarily to Ho Chi Minh - this is much more interesting.

Dont miss the residence, once you have seen Ho Chi Min in his Mausoleum. The residence of the governor of Indochina is a fantastic French mansion. Sadly one is not allowed inside. In contrast Ho Chi Min's residence and garden house are simplicity itself.
