Located just behind the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the residence is set in the Botanic Gardens. Some more queuing but not for too long.

Cover up elbows and knees. You can't carry anything except a camera. No hats or sunglasses when you enter the building. Soldiers and security watching your every move.

During our travels, we went to see the Reunification Palace in Ho Chi Minh City where President Diem and came up to Hanoi to see where Ho Chi Minh lived. The contrast was incredible. We could not believe how "down to earth" Ho Chi Minh's residence was and how he was more one with nature than into materialistic decorations.

A nice slice of modern history that should appeal to even those who are not au fait with Vietnam's political history. Really enjoyed seeing the well-preserved vehicles and homes of Ho Chi Minh - a vintage-lovers paradise!

Came here with Hanoikids. Nice place to walk about and know more about HCM himself. Definitely need a guide to bring you around here to better understand.

it's not worth visiting, you pay the entrance fee, but every building/house is not allow to go in. You just can walk in the garden and view these houses meters away.

With the intention of seeing some authentic Vietnamese buildings and the residence of Ho Chi Minh I felt a little disappointed. From the distance you see the prestigious yellow house, used to welcome formal guest in Vietnam. Yet you cannot come close and views from outside the gates are better. The house of Ho Chi Minh himself is on full... More

Saw both his original house and house on stilts. Interesting walk on a very hot afternoon. Saw the changing of the guard.

Definitely a good insight to the life and contributions of Ho Chi Minh, one of the founding fathers of modern Vietnam.

Very pleasant grounds to walk on, very humbling to see how Ho Chi Minh lived so simply. A must see!!
