After extensive touring across and around Baku I am sure that Gobustan is the area's most unique monument. We were told that some rock pictures are 40 thousand years old! During the tour you are able to see dozens of pictures. The rocky landscape is spectacular and the atmosphere in secluded caves is absolutely unique! The itinerary is easy, though... More

Not bad place. The view is nice for taking good photos! We started our venture without a tour guide (comes with a price for the tour) and would have gone through the art quickly. I wouldn't have done it with the tour guide because it took too long, however, he was extremely knowledgeable and was polite. More

The petroglyphs found on the outskirts of Baku are very interesting. The rocks themselves are also beautiful! Enjoy the long drive from Baku and the small hike to see these engravings of people, animals, and a ship. Don't miss the singing rock! More

Being in Baku, an excursion to Qobustan is a must! Unspoiled by mass tourism you really feel like a discoverer. The graffiti are an impressive sight per se, but also the landscape around in the semi-desert and the view to the Caspian are worth the trip. It is also worthwile to go to the mud vulcanoes closeby and on the... More

Located about 1 hour south of Baku this little known historic attraction rises out of the bone dry foot hills. SInce the 1940's this site has been attracting visitors from around the world to see the ancient cave drawings that rival those in Europe and Asia. Dating from the Paleolithic period these carvings in the limestone walls show a remarkable... More
