It's otherworldly, especially during winter! Panam city which is nearby looks like a movie set out of aristocratic old bangla movies.

3 hours by car from the airport, can take more, can take less. Traffic is crazy in Dhaka. Bring plenty of water and some snacks. It's a historical place it became as the capital of Bengal during "Isa Khan's" ruling. However, right now it has few small Museums and little lake inside the area also few restaurants. It's kinda nice place and near to Dhaka to spend some spare time.
