Talangama Wetlands is a marshy wetland with rich flora and fauna. To the best of my knoledge, this rich marshland is not an environmentally protected place, which is a pity. The best times to visit are at dawn and at sunset. Take a walk around the lake and feel the pulse of the nature.

went to this place not expecting much and we had few hours to kill. but we were pleasantly surprised with the place. saw quite a few birds and a 6 foot monitor lizard lounging around.

An oasis in the city. One wonders how such a tranquil place could exist in the middle of the city.The flocks of waterbirds that gather are quite numerous.

This is a beautiful wetland ecosystem in the Colombo district. It is truly surprising to see this lovely landscape surrounded by the noise and busyness of the city. Talangama is a heaven for ornithologists and photographers. A big thank you for the people in the area for keeping the lake and the surrounding area pollution free.

A lovely place. Away from the city noise, this little haven is home to many species of flora and fauna and is a great place to really walk.
