We heard from so many people about the scams for Bosphorus cruises and heard from the locals that taking the ferry was the way to go. There are three ferries a day - 10:30, 1:30 and 2:30 daily. You take the same route as the cruises for 10 TL. Don't stop in Ortakoy and definitely don't eat the town's speciality... More

I think the 90 minute trip up and down the Bosphorus for 12 TL represents much better value for money. Anything other is just a way of spinning out the trip.

We made our trip by boat from Eminonou for about almost 2 hours and not very expensive. You must be present about 30 min. before depart; then you also have a better place. The boat makes a crossing on the Bosporus till the 2. bridge. You see a lot of nice old buildings along this water. We can recommend this... More

We used IBO....Istanbul, Bosphorus Organizations www.ibocruise.com for our sightseeing tour. It was all done at the hotel....booked through the front desk and absolutely painless. We were picked up at the hotel and returned to our hotel following the trip. The 2.5 hour boat trip had an English speaking guide and departs at 11:30 every day. The cost was 25 E... More

We met north of the ferry at Uskadar to board to boat called Semiramis II <http://semiramis2.com.tr/> that had been hired by the conference organisers for the conference dinner. Had been regreting that I had not had time to arrange a cruise up the Bophorus for myself but this was a delight and one of the highspots. Dusk was falling as... More

You can buy your tickets at Karakoy pier. The cruise lasts one and half hours and takes you up the bosphorus to the second bridge and then back again. Costs TL 12.50 it's really worth seeing the coastal areas of Istanbul on this cruise as its a part you would not normally find. It seems very upmarket and picturesque. You... More

We took a 1.5 hour tour from Kabatas. The boat goes up until the second bridge across Bosporus, and then back again closer to the Asian side. If I recall correctly there are tours 3 times a day – early around 10.00, than at 11.30 and again in the afternoon around 14.00. The dock is just across the tram station... More

It is a really good value. Tons of stuff to see. Make sure your camera chip has space and you have spare battery. A sunny day is ideal, it can get a bit cold out on the water. At the last stop, when you get to off the boat turn left and go to the last restaurant (past the police... More

We took the 25tl bosphorous cruise line trip which is great value for money. Buy the audio guide to get some info about the area. The day we went was hot and sunny so just perfect. Lots to see, outside and inside decks so a seat to suit all. We walked up to the ruined castle, which is a must... More
