The fort lacks descriptive displays, but it's very old, very nice and the skyscrapers in the background make it a little bit surreal. More

This old Portuguese fort is located close to the city and very easy to get to. If you are going by taxi try to get him to go on the meter, this I'm afraid is still a problem in bahrain - taxi drivers! There are reputable companies that use the meter, ask your hotel to call one for you. 15... More

There isn't much there. The fort is very small. It has four walls, .... and thats it. More

I only stumbled upon this chasing the sunset which, if I had arrived on time, would have been amazing from one of the parapets. However this is definitely worth a visit with or without the sun!......Beautifully restored with fabulous views back towards the city centre. There is a gorgeous arched walkway which at night is beautifully lit. What I love... More

Just a 2 minute drive from the Seef Area and it is free to walk around the fort. A really good quality cafe for drinks and relaxing (not as many food choices after the "unrest"). The fort is free of signage and barriers, so this adds to the adventure. Keep a close to your kids so they dont start climbing... More

The Bahrain fort is huge and beautiful in its own respect. It has been restored and is maintained well to preserve historical value. At the entrance there is a small museum which is also worth a visit. More
