The inside of the pagoda is simply super amazing. All the gold and glitters will definitely capture your heart. More

Within the wall of this temple is a sacred hair of the Buddha. It is a small temple designed for deep meditation. It is possible to see the glass enclosure where the sacred hair is kept. More

We visited in February on a particularly hot day - it's worth getting inside just to get out of the heat. There is a visitor booth in a portacabin type box room to the right of the front entrance. Go inside and pay your entrance fee ($5 per person); you can leave your shoes in there too if you prefer.... More

Small, almost maze-like in getting to the centre where the hair relic is contained. If you are claustrophobic you won't like it. The Buddha, walls, collections are all behind glass which make photos hard to take, especially in the limited space and if locals and other tourists are coming through. It's one of the few stupas that one actually can... More

Really ancient pagoda, I couldn't believe myself when I got there. Although I heard that pagoda name before. It's full of the background of myanmar country and reflects the traditional cultures. More

Just off the Strand at the end of the shipping area, it is a busy pagoda used by local people. The inner star shaped area is covered in gold paint or leaf as is the central area where the relics are displayed, and there is a lovely outdoor area with shade trees. More

Mornings is the best time to visit the Pagoda. Walking in the inner side of the Pagoda is an experience... walking through the 8 pillars like corridors. From the Pagoda one can walk to the city center too. More

It is so beautiful. Everything space inside the pagoda looks like made from real gold. Some Myanmar people do meditation in the small space in the pagoda so you'd better walk around quietly. Don't miss a beautiful Buddha image sent back from a museum in UK in a room outside the pagoda. More

I really enjoyed my visit here, it has a quiet unassuming quality with a vague showground feel complete with pond full of giant turtles, carp. The golden interior is spectacular. More
