Learned a lot about Kenya and its people. It was a great place to spend an afternoon and the walk in the garden afterwards was nice . Would recommend this stop on your trip.

It is an interesting place to spend a couple of hours. The best exhibits are in the Human History section which are very well labelled. It's a nice place to visit if you are by yourself and interested in history. The museum is clean and well maintained.
The snake park was average. But if you are interested, then be sure...

I have been there many times since my childhood till I have lost count. It never ceases to fascinate me, thehistory behind everything
Must go to get a flavor of the land. I enjoyed the railway related old photos and the snake park. It should cost you around 1200 KES (15 USD). Open all day.
An extensive collection of finds that spans the natural world (lots of African animals and especially a gigantic collection of birds), many historic finds from homo erectus and our earlier ancestors (including many of the priceless finds by Louis Leakey), and a large section that details Kenya's history and tribes. Educational, impressive, and entertaining. Definitely worth a visit. 800ksh for...

This is by far the best museum I've seen across sub-Saharan Africa. The early human fossil exhibits are absolutely fantastic, and the bird collection is great too. Extremely informative and well curated. Bravo, National Museums of Kenya!
Great historic stuff! Full of pleasant surprises awaiting you to sample! Great Fossils and works of art and unique culture.
I have been traveling to Kenya for 6 years, so I love anything and everything to do with Kenya.
The museum is amazing. It is very pretty, and very informative. They have all sorts of different attractions; birds, animals, people, tribes, history. It has everything you would ever want to know and learn about Kenya. I like going around by...

I was dissappointed cause I was told that the museum was renovated 2 years ago. Leaking roofs, children's scribbles on manuals and quite run down was what I saw. Still worth it and lots to see but pity about the overall impression
This museum is more of a historical and natural-history museum, rather than a fine-arts museum. It has some excellent exhibits of some of the skulls and other artifacts of pre-human primates. There is also an excellent collection of documents and photos of the history of Kenya, and a very impressive collection of stuffed birds, as well as the major big...
