If you're spending more than a day or two in Chongqing, this is a great place to visit. It's easy to get to (just take the subway red line to Ciqikou and follow the crowds - it's about a 1 km walk from the metro) and is a nice break from the high rises in Chongqing. It is mostly delicious... More

Ciqikou used to be nice, but like most of the places like this in China, it's been rebuilt to make it more "acceptable" to foreign tourists. Now, everything is fake, all the souvenirs are the same junk you can buy at all the other tourist traps in China, and the food is of poor quality and overpriced. Worse, it's so... More

Unfortunately, we visited here with a local guide expecting to see old buildings and porcelain making/sales/displays. Having been to markets in Yangshou and other Asian countries we didn't really want to visit more. Ciqikou Ancient Town is the original site for porcelain manufacturing in China. Now days it is a large market stall site in some rebuilt buildings selling lots... More

Very crowdy alot of Tourists mostly from asia. Small streets and old small houses, its nice to walk around there, but theres nothing special to do and see. It feels like going back 100 years when you enter the Town. They sell almost same things in every shop, but it is Worth the trip there,

Long way to go there (take taxi) and really not much to see. There are of cource nice old houses and small streets. Full of tourists everyway most of them from Asia. Anyway, it is good place for shopping and if you like to have a cup of tea during your shopping you will find many nice tea houses around.

As the place is lined with many street food vendors, it could get quite dirty. Eat the food at your own risk! Interesting place with many historical buildings and souvenirs shops.

The first 5 minutes after entering you still feel like WOW but after keeping on walking, the stalls are the same, the crowd gets thicker and you feel like you've seen it. We started by turning right at the T-crossing. That road led towards the river. We turned another left just before the road ended in the river and came... More

this street gives you one of the first impressions that you have landed in China. Due to its rapid growth the country is quite westernised with its high rise buildings and amazing roads. The people dont speak english, but they try to help you as much as possible. Great food everywhere, I had the freshest made noodles in my whole... More

This is a great place for snacks and people watching. I could have spent all day here. Walk down to the riverbed to see the kids games and have a beer by the river.
