Taking a trip on the Star Ferry is great. It's hustle and bustle all the way but is worth every sight. See the Hong King skyline from the water and your jaw will drop. Well, the new Star Ferry Pier is very different from the old one. Maybe it is me as a historical person. However, with the new maritime museum coming next to the pier in Central, hopefully it will drive the visitor traffic to even higher. More

This iconic pier was undergoing construction on the Kowloon side, so was a bit messy - but who can resist a ride on the Star Ferry? There is a fantastic shoe shop on the Kowloon side pier called Perfect Born. Leather shoes from $A50 - in sizes to fit western feet. Worth a visit! More

“Great views of HK go at sunset”

$3 HKD for a one way ride is the cheapest sightseeing tour you will ever have. I stress, go at sunset, you get daylight shots and sunset shots one direction, and night shots on the way back. Great food in the mall at the Kowloon stop. More

an uncommon view of the city, even if the sea is not blue. the route from central to kowloon is really cheap. a good alternative to travel by subway. More
