I've only been there for a party trip, but I've heard from people who are there with families that it's also good. Party wise Station 2 is like spring break, even in the off season. Tons of shops, restaurants and night clubs with a lot of foreigners. The island offers lots to do in the way of activities and it's... More

Very very affordable and really cool place to escape to. Lots of activities, scuba dving, wind surfing, helmet diving and many more on this little Island. Very peaceful, didn't encounter any cheats so i'll say quite honest people for a main touristic attraction.

Love walking around, browsing restaurants.Love the food.Watch the happy hour time, some starts early and ends late , some are not. It was but one free one drinks! So, it was fun for bar hopping. I dont like the street vendor. Annoying.

Getting there is a bit of an adventure in itself but certainly worth it. The beach is beautiful and the water is warm. Accommodation is plentiful and good food and cold drinks are inexpensive. There is a handy fresh wet market where you can select seafood and have it cooked at one of the little restaurants next to it.

I read some reviews about this island and formed some thoughts of the terms of words that described the island in many ways. Saturated, Crowded, Commercialized, Too Much Resorts, Immigration populated, services and commodities too expensive compare to other asian islands, ethnic isolation of native islander, sewarage problems, environment problems, etc.etc. To sum up it all, I believe myself that... the boracay sand was everything i thought it would be. the waters were crystal clear. parasailing and jet-skiing activities were available. a bit pricey but worth the experience. but too crowded. for conservative Filipino families, it may not be a good place to take young children to. too many white people sunbathing topless or making out in broad daylight.
