Beautiful gardens, lots of benches to sit and appreciate, quite a collection of plants and trees, labeled so you know what you're looking at. The gardens are separated into areas, free maps show where everything is. All is free, except the National Orchid Garden.

Frankly we (wife, 10 year young daughter and me) expected a lot, perhaps, due to other gardens previously visited, including many in India; but were a bit let down by the actual visit. Getting around, like anywhere in Singapore (and by public transport) is a breeze, with the MRT exiting right at its gates. What is on offer is a... More

The whole garden is really quite nice, but the best part is definitely the Orchid Garden. There is a fee to visit the Orchid Garden, but it is worth the price. Singapore is a beautiful city, but this is an oasis within the bustle of a large city.

The Singapore Botanic Gardens were really lovely. Since we were there on a cruise port stop we did not have time to explore as much as we would have liked, but what we saw was beautiful. It is very easy to get there on the Metra and there is no charge for the gardens, but it is about $5 US... More

You can't visit the Garden City (Singapore) without spending a day at one of the city's beautiful gardens or reservoirs. The Singapore Botanic Gardens are beautiful and centrally located, so they should be just a short cab ride away for visitors staying in the city center. It's free to visit the gardens but $5 to enter the Orchid Garden. It... More

These beautiful gardens are probably the best colonial legacy left by the British. The trees are mature, the lawns extensive, the wildlife bustling and it's a haven for residents and visitors alike.

Although the view and the fresh air were refreshing, to walk around the garden's entirety could be rather exhausting. We were all tired before we even visited most parts of the garden. We missed a lot, actually, including the ginger garden, the bonsai garden, which I wanted to see. I hope they'd offer a sort of garden cruiser, just like... More

The botanical gardens is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a great place for a stroll, to take the kids or for a run. The vegetation is lush and it has lots of lakes. It is only a 10 minute run from the center of Ion on Orchard Road. It has a few... More

Great Botanic Garden, lovely feeling of faded glory and the most stunning planting. I particularly enjoyed the orchid garden. I did get caught in a huge storm and it is important to find a place to shelter... Rain or not it is well worth a visit.
