This magnificent hotel with its terracesm garden, luxury boutiques and bar, is an absolute must while you are in Singapore. In that all-wood bar, things seem to have changed only slightly since the colonial era. Not as exciting as expected but it is free admission if you are prepared to hunt within the hotel ground to find it. Ignore all the "Hotel guests only" signs - it is open to the public

The museum is full of old artefacts and photos. There is also a scale replica of the Hotel. The souvenier shop alongside the museum offers trinkets and mementos.
