It´s a journey in which the traveller will have a full day of unforgettable experiences between the mystical Andean mountains and the most exclusive luxury that a train can offer. The two dining cars, its bar car with observatory, its kitchen car; the welcoming with sparkling wine and its traditional dancing show are only few of the reasons that converted it in everything that it means today. « less

Hiram Bingham lost our luggage en route to Machu Picchu - despite our many requests to label it, we were assured it would be okay. it wasn't. We were also on the train with two large tour groups, whose guides dominated the carriage and we certainly felt slightly ignored. however the return trip , without the tour groups and their... More

I loved the Hiram Bingham Train! We saw the Vistadome Train pull up alongside us, and although it looked fine, it was no comparison to the Hiram Bingham! Very good lunch on board, and beautiful scenery as well. It is VERY expensive, but totally worth the money! We had a great experience!

We travelled back from Machu Picchu on the 2nd May on the Hiram Bingham train. We were not told that the train doesn't go all the way to Cuzco now but stops half way and you then have to catch very cramped buses for the last hour and a half to Cuzco. No-one on the train knew about this and... More

The train is part of the Orient Express group. We have travelled on their train from Venice to London so it was interesting to compare. The train is very similar to the others in the group, however because we chose to go on it on our return from Macchu Pichu we unfortunately did not experience the glory of the scenery... More

Nice lunch on the way to Machu Picchu on a luxury train, while seeing the scenery of the Sacred Valley.

We took the Hiram Bingham train to Machu Picchu in April 2013 during our first trip to South America. It was just a great experience. It is not inexpensive but it includes everything. For people like us who were not familiar with the area it was a great way to make sure that we had all our bases covered and... More

We have travelled in a lot of trains in our life time and the Hiram Bingham express was amongst one of the best. There is a completely different feel to the whole experience, starting with the Andean Dancers at the check in to being treated like royalty during the entire journey. Fantastic lunch with loads of wine, while the train... More

The Hiram Bingham Train was definitely as good as the European Orient Express but with even more spectacular scenery - what an experience.

The first time I went to Machu Picchu I went on the Vista Dome train (May 2011), but on my second time to Macchu Picchu (April 2013) I had the chance to go on the journey with HB train and there is no comparison. The service, the tables, the food, the bar, the musicians, everything is flawless! I have no... More

This train is five-star service from start to finish. At the station in the morning you are welcomed by musicians and dancers, before buses take you to the Hiram Bingham starting point (which due to a recent landslide was at Urabamba). On board, it's gourmet dining, delightful Peruvian wines, beers and sparkling wine, not to mention the Pisco Sours. In... More
