Two older nonthreatining travelers literally had to beg for two minutes entry into the building. Now I realize that this is a bloody bank headquarters, but why not have some controlled availabiltiy for entry and viewing. Interior is classical elegance. During my stay in Buharest I had a meeting in the Building of CEC Bank, which is a Romanin bank but has its headquarters in this incredibly nice hystorical building, which you dont see every day. if you get the chace, visit it inside...nice painted wals, ceilings, candelabres, wow!
It's wonderful both inside and outside. A few years ago it was fully refurbished and now looks brilliant. I was there on business and unfortunately I do not know if you can visit it.
I remembered reading about this, but had forgotten that we could go in. I wish we had done it - the outside is fantastic, so I am forever curious! Will have to return!
