Every morning and evening at 18:00 (changes in winter) the 5 nuns that are managing there monastery are praying and they sing, the church is one of the oldest in Bucharest and almost all tourist visit it since it is in Lipscani but very few come at 18:00 to hear them sing it is very intimate ceremony

I woul say is one of the most representatives orthodox churces with ancient byzanthine rituals. It belongs to monks so... there is dayly a religious act morning to evening. its all beautyfull as paintings, architecture, religious day by day life.

It's very small but is absolutly charming and most of all: authentic! It was a monastery church an it had a small inn around. Now it is still a monastery. I think that is the most beautifull church in Bucharest. It still look like XVIII Bucharest Church.

It is hard to believe that this little church is not even 50meters from the craziest part of the city in the OLd Town. The church, cloisters and gardens are a quiet place to collect your thoughts and consider the sins of the night before. The stone monuments in the gardens are emnants of an old church which stood across... More

Located a few steps from Caru' cu Bere, this 300 year old church offers a peaceful interlude while walking around the old center of Bucharest. Spend a few minutes in the church and in the peristyle next door

A beautiful orthodox small church full of frescos, ikons and portraits, that gives you the "smell" of the history of the city of Bucharest and its Greek founders. Been Greek my self I found it extremely interesting because it revealed the answers of the surprising spread of the Hellenic culture within the Romanian history. It is located in the heard... More
