In comparison with a lot of main streets in other european capitals you won't find anything very attractive on this street. Only one big shopping mall, but not so many good brends. Mixture of architecture styles erased the beauty of the place.

Take an icecream or coffee, sit down and watch the peolpe passing by. At one side, on a hill you will see the hotel Ukraine, like a memorial from the Soviet era. If you need stamps the main postoffice i located here.

It is a beautiful, tall statue, right in the middle of downtown Kiev (Close to Khreschatik). Just walk by and photograph from a distance.

Maidan is an ideal place for taking a rest after finishing the free walking tour or as a starting point for your own exploring. During the weekends they close of the main Kreschatyk street so Maidan turns into a huge stage where kids perform in some kind of dance competition.
