Loved the place! If you like Airplane Museums, this one won't disappoint you. I searched the internet and tried to use public transportation twice before I finally rode the Metro close and then took a taxi. It seems that bus routes change because I tried finding different buses that other people listed and it just didn't work. I wrote the... More

A collection of civil and military planes, helicopters. All the planes are made in USSR. Visitors can walk from plane to plane and watch them closely. Some of them are accessible inside, but this may require ordering a separate excursion.

Pros: Once threatening Soviet "war machinery" looks tamed and abandoned…32 planes and helicopters exhibited, most of them were used by Soviet Airfoce. MIG fighter jet collection is impressive. A huge Tupolev Tu-22 ("Backfire C Bomber", I guess) supersonic strategic bomber plane and a nuclear missile carrier. "Sukhoi" fighter-bombers: SU-24, SU-20, fighters SU-15 and SU-25. Dual purpose (military – civilian) "Ilyshin"... More

This is an open-air museum that was originally Zhulyany military air base. When the Russians left & the airstrip became a civil airport, the remaining hardware was pushed onto the grass & left there. This is exactly how it looks today. Of course they have acquired many other types since opening in 2003 but the original fighters & helicopters are... More

It is a simple museum of Soviet era aviation but is a great way to entertain the kids since they can get into some of the displays .

We were brought here by a student of the National Aviation University, and were given a private tour. The grounds are not exceptionally well kept, but if the weather is nice it's a good way to spend a few hours outside of downtown Kiev.

Nice open air museum of real planes and helicopters just next to the Julyany (Kyiv) Airport . Entrance ticket is 2 EUR for an adult. For extra 0.5 EUR you can go inside of some of the exhibits. Security guy was really nice (which is not always the case for Ukraine) and let my 3 years son and his friend... More

This open-air museum is very close to the Zhuliany airport, however it is not easy to find or get to by public transport. Actually i got a taxi to get there and on my return have used a bus to get to Vokzalna metro station. The museum staff do not speak English however they were very helpful and kind enough,... More

We thought we'd spend about an hour there but in fact we spent three hours :) Lots of old aircrafts - helicopter, military and passenger planes. I couldn't help being amazed at how people managed to fly in those "boxes" and stay alive)) There's nowhere to buy food on the territory, so visiting a little food stand before the entrance... More
