The main church is quite beautiful and reminded me of a smaller, more delicate Agia Sophia in Istanbul. Make sure you visit the second floor to get a better view of the iconography.

A majestic cathedral and symbol of Kiev. The entry tickets are cheap but Grivni are required. The view from the tower is worth the climb. Once at the top, one can look down to the courtyard, view St. Michael's Cathedral, and look at the fancy gold domes of Sophia from a superior perspective.

One of the most beautiful churches in Kiev and Europe actually. Walking inside you can feel holly inspiration and old age of the place.

The catherdral is one of the most impressive buildings in Kiev both externally and internally. Luckily, I time my visit at the time of a service which made for a more memorable experience.

We did not go inside the grounds to look at all the different parts of this church complex but the thing that was definitely worth it is the bell tower. It opens up a gorgeous view of Kiev. Just make sure you've got the legs to walk up all those stairs, but it's definitely worth the climb!
