It is very very sad to see how the government does nothing to keep this beautiful and historic place standing and in perfect conditions... Such an important place is falling apart... IT NEED HELP!!!!

Went to check out the Panama Canal Museum and see the work on restoring the Casco Antiguo near the presidential palace

An historical land mark worth visiting if you are walking in "Casco Viejo" aka San Felipe.

It is amazing how spanish moved the front of this Cathedral from the first Panama "Old Panama". It tooks more than 100yrs to finish it.

This structure is something of a mess with rotting wood and pigeon droppings inside and out. It looks far better at a distance and while I did not find it different that many churches I have visited in Latin America it is a shame it has been allowed to fall into such disrepair. The wood sculptures outside the church was quite interesting and they show their age...many are worn and checked in the Panamanian heat. The wood roof structure is interesting as are the alters and statues around the large open church. The only colour is the stained glass windows.
