One of the most fascinating places in Panama is the Cathedral in Old Panama. This represents an incredible span of time and historical significance. Often overlooked is the wealth of special historical sites in Panama City itself.

What great beauty she brings to us....... The old and the new reminds us of the needs this wonderful church has. We must remember her needs with the hope that she can be restored to her glory. This was a lovely, simple cathedral in a town square. We were unable to get inside but the exterior needed some upkeep. Old Panama itself was in dire need of upkeep.
I didn't get to go into the Cathedral, but was able to stop and take some pictures of it. Great architecture!
An attractive facade but not much else. The square it sits on is filled with tourist trinket vendors and can be interesting to sit and watch people.
is so important to visit the Cathedral and understand how they save the Gold from the invation of Capitan Morgan, they cover the Gold with oil, so save the Gold...and the history is fantastic, visit the Cathedral...you will love it
Well restored and fits into the beautifully restored area well. Old buildings are just not my thing.
If you like history then you will like seeing this. I didn't go inside but not sure if it was open. But it's good to get it ticked off the list
Would be nice if the tourist books told you that it is closed. There are just a few small markets nearby selling trinkets.
