I feel very sad for all the ladies, that had a bad experience. I can honestly say, that I a wonderful time. Jennifer our instructor was wonderful. I learned so much and had a great experience all around. As a bonus Jennifer is a first class cook and a very cool gal.
As a Pastor I need to warn you to beware of Womanship. One of the troops from our church schedules and paid for a trip with Womanship only to have this company refuse to take responsibility is filling out the proper insurance forms. Because the forms were not filled out, the trip could not be approved and was cancelled. Womanship...

We had excellent instructors (Bob and Brian) who taught us what we wanted to learn and had infinite patience. Ours was not a usual class. We went out for dinner and drinks in Annapolis each night. Our instructors were actually not scheduled to teach our class and subbed in at the last minute. We were very happy because Bob and...

We want to let all in the sailing community know that you have a shark in your midst. Womanship.com, a worldwide sailing company that professes it can lead anyone on a learning adventure contracted with our group of 11 and 12 year old Girl Scouts on the Chesapeake Bay in June, 2012. We spent time coming to an agreed upon...

The Womanship Sailing School has taught Girl Scouts for more than 20 years. We deeply admire and respect the Girl Scouts program. Most of us were scouts ourselves. Not unexpectedly, the statement that “Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place” resonates in the Womanship mission that nurtures personal growth, leadership, collaboration...

I am an alumni of Womanship since 1990. I learned to sail with them in 1990 in the British Virgin Islands and had a wonderful time! I also took an offshore class with them in 1994 and it was great. The third trip was not the charm however! When I decided to take another course with them in 1995 in...

The instructors, when we had them, were excellent and not a part of the problem. The administration of this company don't return phone calls or contact their patrons in a timely or helpful manner. If we hadn't contacted them to be sure before the first day (after we got there), we would have been waiting at the wrong dock. They...

On May 19, 2011 myself and four other women drove approximately 700 miles from Michigan to Annapolis, Maryland for a sailing class with Womanship. For this course we each paid $785.00 for what was promised and contracted for a three day course. Upon our arrival in Annapolis, we called the Womanship office and arranged to meet with their representative on...

I took a 5 night liveaboard cruise out of Annapolis in August 2009. The trip, boat, Captain and entire experience was exactly how it was described when I booked it. My fellow students and I got along very well from the minute we met. Captain MaryAnn was an inspiration to the three of us; the depth of her knowledge and...

This winter my husband and I decided to take a long awaited sailing sabbatical in the Caribbean. To bolster my confidence in my sailing abilities, I decided to take a 5 day sailing course with Womanship. Although there was no financial benefit for inviting guests, I asked a friend to join me on a course that was scheduled in Tortola...
