Its a beatiful little town with alot of history, but it gets very crowded with the cruise ships. The shops are expensive, but after you visit a few, they carry the same touristy trinkets.

What a gem of a town; spotlessly clean, big problem was the "day-Trippers" from the cruise liners every day; best time to see the town is late afternoon and evening
There are a lot of old towns that are wonderful but none with the combination of sights, seaside, restaurants and history that Dubrovnik has. Stay after the cruise ships leave to experience it best. A 4 hour shore leave just doesn't do it.
If tourist shop after another with a mix of restaurants that offer same menu as most of the restaurants, but with higher price, is your cup of tea, you might like this area. Otherwise it's advicable to take a quick walk here and proceed to other areas to wine and dine.
Everythings nice and maintained. Once you get through the Pile Gate and the area right next to it, you shouldn't feel that crowded. A lot of beautiful old buildings, marble and stone. Prices in general aren't that bad so you should be able to trod without worries of being ripped off. Didn't feel unsafe concerning my life or my belongings...

A very interesting site with lots top see. The restaraunts are quite expensive. We could do with the hire of explanatory tapes.

We got a...
