The entrance is on a side street and isn't clearly marked and will probably be closed. You have to ring the bell to enter. Once we entered we started walking when the woman ran after us to give us a key to the roof.
The church itself was okay to walk around in but the real thing to see was...

B10 entry. Look for the door "Maria Auxiliadora" as you are heading away from the main plaza along Nicoliz Ortiz. If you hit Perez and the next little plaza you have gone too far. Bell answered of first buzz but ask for the key for the roof to save yourself a trip up and down the stairs. The door to...

A lovely old church with great views of Sucre. Bit hard to find the entrance which was on the side street just before the church. A Spanish guide took us around & we enjoyed the tour for 10B's each
Unbelievably great views of Sucre and the surrounding countryside. Worth a half hour exploring the cloister and seeing the view from the roof.
Visiting the monastery and Church of San Felipe was incredible. The views over the terracotta rooftops of Sucre is really spectacular, as well well as the actual location itself. A must do for Sucre.

It is possible to get onto the roof of the monasterio to get beautiful views of the city, to visit the church...

You can climb up the church between 2:30-6:00 pm. The entrance is through a school. If the door is closed, just knock. The view from above is great!
Enter this place via the school entrance which isn't very obvious (it's on the road towards main square, but not near church entrance) and get a key from the lady at the desk. She shows you where to go and then you can explore the rooftop all alone which is stunning. Took so many pictures of the city and the...
