The silk Farm is about 18kms from town. We took a tuk tuk there which we would highly recommend, that way you can go when you wish (and avoid the tourist buses). This place is my interest one, the farm have full function and facility to show how make Khmer silk and also place provide train skill to locate people around. All should not miss this place.

If you are in Siem Reap and you did the temples and you want to find something else, i recommend the Silk Farm. A nice relaxed short tour, which will give you an idea how the incredible silk production works, in the past and today.

The National Silk Centre is 16 kilometers west of Siem Reap on Route 6. We really enjoyed the tour through this centre, there is no charge and you have your own personal guide.
