This is the best beach I have seen in the Hong Kong / Shenzhen area. The beach is not white sugar sand but good quality sand. It is quite long but can still get crowded. They have all the vendors nearby for food, drinks and souvenirs. Showers are on sight. It is not Hainan island but for Americans that fly...

The beach extends 2kms long and about 200 meter deep. with all the facilities including lockers, showers, skyskiing. Most of the housing and hotels are set around an artificial lakes with a tropical garden and eating facilities.
The only drawback is that it gets overcrowded on holidays and after 5pm when all the young people from the Tax free zone...

We spent a weekend afternoon here and enjoyed swimming in the South China Sea. Great water temperature and nice secure area for swimminers.
