The Lingering Garden was a beautiful and historic place and gave us a glimpse of the past and the life of especially the women. Very well kept buildings and lovely floral displays.

The Lingering Garden of Suzhou is beautiful and serene, it would have to be one of the loveliest gardens in China. Every direction from any position is a potential calendar photo. The garden is from the Ming Dynasty, so it is very old. It has many buildings throughout the garden with lots of antiques. The main garden incorporates a beautiful... More

We visited the Lingering gardens with a tour in January 2013 and even though there were a lot of trees and flowers out of seeason the beauty of this site is amazing. Hidden behind walls in a very average part of the city it is an oasis of plant life and beautiful water gardens. From old column bases from destroyed... More

This pretty little garden is a delight in April with the newly flowering plants. Like all sites in China weekday visits are much better than weekends.

Great insight into Chinese history and culture. The presentation of the water, structures, trees and plants were blissfully peaceful and harmonious. A wonderful experience for the whole family.

This is a lovely Chinese garden. We went when the blossom trees and the wisteria were in flower which made it all very pretty. There are also lots of bonsai trees. Even though it was raining we did not get too wet as there were plenty of undercover walkways and pavillions to visit. Adding to the atmosphere were people playing... More

Definitely see this garden if you are in the area. Worth the visit if you enjoy nature and trees. We were here with a tour and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere.

The Lingering Garden is a really lovely place to visit. There is a lot of history as well as very beautiful gardens. Since it was early spring many camellias and some of the flowering trees were blooming. While it was quite busy with tourists, there were still places to "linger" in peace. I particularly enjoyed the bonsai garden where there... More

It was so pretty here, it's hard to take a bad photo. It was winter and cold, the advantage being that it was almost empty. I can imagine how beautiful it is in the spring.

I went there with a friend, who was a local, before I flew to Harbin. Since it was december so I just took a couple of photos when my friend tour around, feeding me history and stories about liuyuan. It is truly a peaceful, beautiful place. I love the calming effect of the nature in liuyuan as there were so... More
