Xinghai Square is the largest square in Asia built on a monumental scale overlooking the Bohai Sea. it is popular with the locals with huge space to walk around and enjoy what is more like a large park than a square. Ideal for family & couples. Has some great 5 star hotels overlooking the Bohai sea.

This is a must see in Dalian! It is a huge, very nicely decorated square, near the sea. Do not miss the chance to take pictures with the metal human sculptures.

It was so magnifisent - the biggest square in Asia on a picturesque seaside. You can see the world from other side - so don't hesitate to go there! It's obligatory for people going to be in Dalian!:)

Xinghai square is a large open park just outside Dalian. Beside the park is a very nice boardwalk that you can walk along for many kilometres. When we were there, they also had some amusement park rides set up and small shops open along the boardwalk which made for a nice day and walk. A definite must see in Dalian.
