An important place to see. If you went to Xi An, take a tour and visit here. But be aware of the fact, like every tour in China, this is also provided in a sales program. they take you and visit a market, sometimes you are able to find good souvenir to see, but it becomes boring some times. The... More

A wonderful and overwhelming experience. Highly recommend it for a visit to China. We traveled with China Focus and would highly recommend a trip with this group.

We used Bryan Bay as our guide while in Xian, and he was wonderful. We had a limited time in Xian, but wanted to see the Terra Cotta Warriors. Bryan, with his excellent driver, picked us up at the hotel promptly at 8:00 am. He skillfully guided us through the museum all the while telling us historical and interesting facts.... More

I've been to the Terra Cotta Warrior museum on a number of occasions while on business in Xi'an. Xi'an is a bit out of the way, but definitely worth the trip! There is an "orientation" movie in English where the story of the soldiers is told in a 360 degree theater. Be sure to visit this before continuing on to... More

We were part of a tour that visited Xian and the Terra Cotta Warriors. The discovery, the museum, the display, the ongoing archeology and reconstruction efforts are amazing. If I lived to be 200 and went back, they still might not be finished. It is a wonder to see. Try to read about it before you go.

We have always wanted to visit and see this incredible discovery of more than 8,000 Terra-cotta warriors, figures of soldiers, horses and chariots. But to see in person the scope of this, is wonderful. There are three "pits", in covered buildings and as the photos show, just overwhelming. Pit one takes an hour or more to see and understand just... More

No trip to Xi'an would be complete without seeing the Terra Cotta Warriors. It is very busy so be prepared for crowds of people. Also worth visiting the Terra Cotta factory to see how they make the replicas and to learn about the process.

The general area of Xi'an, site of this momentus discovery by a farmer in 1974, is wonderful in its uniqueness and sheer vastness. these thousands of perfectly formed wArriors-- foot soldiers, archers, generals, horses and remainders of carts and weapons, span acres and acres and are enclosed in three sites shielded from the elements under stadium-like coverings. most of the... If you are in China make a real effort to see the Terra Cotta Warriors. I had seen the PBS special 2 nights before I went to China and several of the Warriors and a horse in an exhibit in Portland Oregon. Neither prepared me for seeing this Exhibit. It is huge. Seeing the Warriors is indescribable. Seeing the ongoing... More

I couldn't believe the size of this exhibit even though I kept hearing about it from the start of our tour. Words cannot describe the sight. Each warrior and horse is different from each other. The site is still being excavated and pieced together. It is a work in progress. My only problem was the pollution in the entire city... More
