If you are only in town for a couple of days you probably wont be able to afford the time to visit. But if you can it is worth it in order to find out about the past right beneath your feet so to speak as it remains a "dig" it at this time and was really only fully discovered... More

The architecture of the site is pretty impressive. But you won't see much. A few buried elephant tusks. Maybe historically significant... but not that interesting. More

For me that museum not an exited place to visit, if you just have short time in Chengdu, better went to another place. You just see tusk (that covering by white fabric) and diorama ... and a garden in the outside of building More

This is a must go place if you're in Chengdu. In fact, I'll visit chengdu just for this museum. The Jinsha Site represents an important part of Chinese history and dates back more than 3200 years. Given the low publicity of this place internationally, I initially thought that it is a small museum with only a couple of ancient trinkets.... More

This is a recently opened museum. The buildings are well designed, and allow visitors to see the actual dig. Objects including jades, ivory, carvings and gold are well displayed in adjacent buildings. The site also includes a restaurant which serves good Chinese food. If time in Chengdu is limited, and archaeology is of interest, I highly recommend this site. If... More

So this museum is a monster building over a site that they are still digging in. They also have a building that houses items that have been dug up. We were also luck to have a new years celebration going on as well. We spent the day eating and looking though the artifacts. This is a must see attraction they... More

This museum worth all the time spent and the admission fee (RMB80)! So much to explore inside and a lot of valuable exhibits. This is an original site where they found all those archeological items. To allow you understand the background of the site, you may want to allow more time to go through some background reading during your visit. More

Interesting archaeological museum, if you like stuff like this. The architecture of the place is equally stunning; rather un-Chinese, though. The surrounding park grounds of museum is also alluring. More

It is a great place to know about the history of the Sichuan Province by visiting this Museum. As we all know China has a very rich culture and you will find that each city has its own. That is why it is nice to visit the museum. They have a site where you can see underground treasures thru the... More

Yes, this is an interesting enough museum (or set of buildings comprising a museum). The dig site is interesting, but I had seen the Terra Cotta Warriors site in Xi'an the day before which I thought was just spectacular, so perhaps Jinsha pales in comparison. Here at Jinsha, there are just marks or holes where things were found, then in... More
