Mingle with the locals and tourists alike in this shopping and eating area. Seems to be very popular with locals and it's not just a "tourist trap" type of place. No pressure to buy and although busy it still remains a relaxed sort of place More

If you are travelling China and you are visiting Beijing or Shanghai too, this place does not differ much to Qiamen of Beijing or Yuyuan Gardens of Shanghai. Very manufactured. If you are just here in Chengdu, it is a different story. More

The good food stalls here make up for the fact that this is a very crowded tourist destination, popular with local teens and visiting Chinese tourists. Good people watching and snacking if you can ignore the crowds. More

Maybe less authentic shops than "Wide and Narrow streets" but atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Shops and bars/restaurants very interesting More

We visited Jinli Street one evening as we heard it was meant to be really interesting. When we arrived we couldn't even get through the gate that leads to the street as there were so many tourists there. The whole area is based around tourists visiting, making everything very expensive. We just had a short walk around and then got... More

A very interesting reconstruction of an old area, but far too popular and should be avoided on weekends and public holidays. Prices are fixed, which is a relief in China! More

Most Chinese cities have an ancient themed tourist area with some local foods, arts/crafts, etc. This is the best one. More

Jinli street quite nice, but the temples and park next door where there is a museum and mauseleun for the kingsy/dynast of 3nd century is very good : peaceful and beutiful. 6.0 RMB, a different world only yards from the street More

Having now lived in China I realize that everything has been redone. It has a historic feelabout it, but really it is a shopping area where you can snap a couple photos and buy things that are cheaper one street over. More
