The architecture is appealling for it's old style and the cafe's are appealling for their modern food. You can get a good coffee etc here although a little expensive. Of course there are many restuarants serving local cuisine but these too looked a little dear so we just settled for the coffee to keep us going as we meandered through... More

A relaxing place with lovely shops full of cool stuff. It might be a little bit expensive to have a formal dinner here but it's a good idea just to grab a local snack. Some buildings are authentic old houses although the streets are mostly new built. More

Remarkably tastefull set of streets full of amazing looking reaturants, relaxing coffee places/bars and a starbucks that looks like a set from "house of flying daggers" . No hassle, relaxed and quiet ( mid week). Cannot recommned any particular restaurant- they all looked great:the one (wih a "R"+ fish sign) I went in was fine, had a drink in a... More

Had a great time here. The area has 2 main streets which you can walk up and down in about 1 hour (if you visit all the shops and museums). We've been to quite a few of these ancient streets in China. A lot of them have touts trying to sell you stuff. For some reason, there are no touts... More

This was a world apart from the Jinli Pedestrian Street. Visited towards the end of Chengdu visit and wished it had have been earlier. It's loaded with a wide range of cafes and restaurants and good shops with worthwhile items...one delightful shop with ceramics and one with textiles. More

I like this place the most! It is like go back to the ancient time when you are here. We visited one of the tea-house (Chengdu is famous of tea-house, it is part of the local daily life-style). The tea-house that we went offer the traditional Sichuan show (a total 4 shows in 1 hours at a cost of RMB88... More

Already booked my dinner elsewhere but saw some amazing restaurants that I would really like to try. Most of the restaurants are unique and well decorated and quite expensive. Most of the restaurants looks like they were converted from old wealthy estates. Very well done and great atmosphere. Very much like Xintiandi in Shanghai. More
