Its hard to imagine such magnificent architecture can be built and still functional presently 2500 years ago. I went on a Sunday morning and its already crowded at 9am. A true engineering marvel by the standards of when it was made. This place is worth a visit just to accept how ancient folks were able to think of such amazing structures and design. Truly humbling. Before heading to the North Railway station, the hotel receptionist advised us to buy our tickets from a ticketing counter along Shun Cheng Jie which we did. They will ask for your passport when u buy the tickets, so do bring it along. Then caught bus 55 also from Shun Cheng Jie for 2 yuan which brought us to the... More

This was interesting and a nice early morning excursion. We caught the 6:30 am train and got there at 8. from the train station take bus #4. Drops you off at the entrance. Get there by 8am otherwise the crowds will ruin it for you. We spent about 2 hours enjoying our walks until the crowds came. when you enter... More

Beautiful scenery, crystal clear water, nice to see that this engineering project of ancient times is still a scenic location. Best to go as early in the day as possible to avoid the crowds of tourists More
