Ranthambore National Park for me is like a second home. People make a mistake of coming here with a single objective of spotting a Tiger, which I think is very disrespectful of the place that has so much more to offer to true nature lovers. In my two visits to the park (in Dec'12 and in Jun'13), I have taken... More

just to drive around the park is already a good experience, but I went twice on one day for morning and afternoon game and didn't spot a Tiger at all! that's the Idea of a Safari, you don't know if you're gonna see anything, and by the end of the second game you feel like they're just driving around without... we drove from Agra to Ranthambhore , an all day drive along terrible roads with two children 11 and 15 and my 85 year old mother!! No matter how many times I told the children not to be disappointed if they didn't see a tiger, I was praying we would, if only to justify that drive. Firstly I have to... More

We were in a jeep with a knowledgeable and chatty guide and we got lucky and saw a tiger. He was some distance away but got a few photos, thanks to the guide. There is nothing like the variety of wildlife as an African safari, but somehow this felt more important. The tiger is an endangered species and we could... More

The idea of spotting a tiger in the wild, in a national park in India, convinced me to come to the town of Sawai Madopur, booking a (more than the average price) accommodation, and join 2 expensive (also because in a 6 seat jeep) safaris in this NP. First afternoon safari: few deers spotted, you can see more of them... More

Terrain is breathtaking here, you will just fell in love with flora & fauna around. Not only tigers but there are other animals like Deers, wid hogs, wild boars, crocodiles, sambhar, leopards etc. Out of all these tigers and leopards are rare to see, but if you are lucky enough you can get the sight within one safari.

The terrain of the Ranthambhore forest is very beautiful. The forest has been divided into different zones for tourists. So each zone has a different kind of terrain...some have more waterholes than others, some have a hilly and dry terrain. We saw 2 tigers - one male and one female together playing with each other and they were around for... More

We have just come back from a tour around India that included a 3 night visit to Ranthambore National Park to look for Tigers. We had one safari in a 6 seater Jeep & 3 in 16 seat petrol canters. You are picked up at your hotel at around 6am for a morning safari & 3 pm for an afternoon... More

I loved the Zone 3 of the park... nice green and maximum types of animals and birds were seen here. The Zone 1 is the shortest route, was disappointed that we hardly had anything to see.

We went in Late May early June which is a great time to see the tigers albeit very hot. The jeeps are open top and offer no protection from the sun or hot wind - you need to prepare for that. Take lots of water and girls take loo paper - there are loos in the park but no paper!!... More
