I love to visit less crowded places in india.Binsar is one of them.Untouched and exotic. Take time off 4-5 days as camping and other activities are must do.

This was a childhood dream. Always wanted to go to Binsar having read about it in many stories. The place was quite for sure...away from the maddening crowds at Corbett. But it turned out to be a big disappointment. Maybe a good place to unwind. But me and my little children were absolutely bored. There is really no wildlife and... More

Do you like a place so lonely that you may not meet people unless you chose to? Do you like mountains that open up in front of you like the peaks are for your pleasure only... boundless, vast, and deeply evocative in their timelessness? Do you love the sound of birds on a clear morning when the mist has hidden... More

A major part of my last year, towards the end of 2010 was spent across the various Hill States of northern India. I had an amazing opportunity to see some of the most enchanting paradises in North of the country as I was travelling across 8 - 10 different destinations for my work. Starting from Jim Corbett in Uttarakhand to... More

I don’t know what heaven looks like…Binsar comes to my mind every time I think of it! If you want to unwind yourself, relax, sooth your senses, be in the midst of nature- then Binsar is the place to be. Binsar is a wildlife sanctuary located at a distance of approximately 126 kms from Kathgodam, Uttarakhand (the closest railway station... More

One of its own kind of sanctuary. KMVN Guest Lodge is most preferred stay option with no frill facilities and pure veg menu. There is power supply only for 2 hrs in evening to recharge phone, camera etc. Brilliant location to get mesmerized by Himalayan view, one can easily spot snow line in the entire view.

We had an amazing experience with family in Binsar, just around 38 kms from Almora this is a perfect place to spend a weekend with family and friends in the serenity, purity and beauty of raw, wild and untouched nature. A lot of opportunities for all to capture nature and Himalayan range lead by massive Nanda devi group of peaks,... More

At a 10 hrs drive from Delhi and about 90 Km from Nanital diving though steep pin bends u reach this place. From the sanctuary gate it is a 10 KM drive via a v. narrow road to a 7500 ft high KMVN resort where we stayed.. Weather is fantastic with night/early morning coldish in June end. Days are pleasant.... More

The think that I most remember about Binsar is the silence and the quiet you get there, as if its pinching your ear. The night sky is so clear like a dream, it appears as if you can grab it by your hand. We stayed in Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary at KMVN (Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam) Tourist Rest House. It costs... More
