It's a very good place for family outing or friends gathering. Enjoy the fresh air and playing around, not to mention they are thousands if not hundreds of species of plants to see. It's good education place like Zoo for the young ones. My friends and I came here as a Jakarta visitor, we spent around 1 hour here only... More

It is a very good and natural recreational spot for families at Bogor. The istana(palace) covers one third of the garden. It will be an ideal choice if you have the free time to jog around, cycling and picnic. More

These gardens have historical value and is a great place to cool off after a long day of traveling. The gardens were first "developed" by botanist & governor Stamford Raffles in the 1800s. The trees (and its roots) are huge and there are lots of historical architecture as well. Many people have picnics on the grounds. You need to travel... More

In the centre of the city of Bogor the Botanical Gardens are a cooling retreat from the heat, pollution and traffic jams! The gardens contain more than 15,000 varieties of trees and plants and being over 80 hectares the best way to see most of the gardens is by car, sadly, although the cars do go very slow. There is... A nice place to spend a day, roaming the grounds and taking photos. Be prepared to be repeatedly approached if you are "foreign" looking, as a lot of students are tasked to conduct interviews to improve their language skills. Its all harmless, and the students are quite polite about approaching you. More

It's a place to wander, get some peaceful and quiet time for yourself. If you're into plants, this is your place. A great place to picnic. The Cafe Dedaunan is not so special and a little bit expensive. If you come in the right time, you'd meet with raflesia arnoldii, the world's biggest flower. More

The gardens are extensive, should you take kids there and if they have a bike, even better! Go early and should you visit on a week end, go on the Saturday morning and not on Sunday, when it is really crowded and dirty (locals do not take care of their gardens and continue to dump rubbish everywhere, but the gardens...
