My companion and I wanted to try a traditional Turkish bath at some point in our two weeks and Turkey. I was excited to see that this is one of the oldest working hamams in the country. It's not a 5-star spa experience with a long deep tissue massage, but we didn't go in expecting that. It was an unique,... More

I would HIGHLY recommend avoiding this Turkish bath at ALL costs. Go to Ephesus like you are supposed to. We just got back from a cruise (October 2012) that stopped in Kusadasi and decided to try out the KALEICI HAMAMI, the one a few blocks outside the port that most people go to... and my wife was almost raped there.... There are several turkish baths in town but my wife and I went to Belediye Hamami (turkish bath) which is found right here https://maps.google.com/maps?daddr=Y%C4%B1ld%C4%B1r%C4%B1m+Cd&hl=en&ie=UTF8&sll=37.85843,27.257681&sspn=0.003312,0.006641&geocode=FTesQQIduuufAQ&mra=mr&t=m&z=17 We had a awesome time. Never been so clean and totally relaxing. Be sure to bring your bathing suit, women should have something 2 piece so you can get the full scrub. Belediye Hamami is one... More

We had a Turkish bath which set us back €16 each, which was reasonable. They are nice and refreshing and you do feel that you've had good ole scrub down. The one thing I didn't like was the shoes they give you to wear, you don't know who has worn them prior to you and you could be open to... More

We so looked forward to the experience, but were each given a 2 minute scrub and 2 minute soap rub. Pathetic and I would warn anyone else that it is just a money grabbing psuedo experience. They should be ashamed.

Without doubt one of the best Spa experiences I have even had and I can a sure you I have had a great number of Spa treatments. What makes this so special is firstly the staff. They are very professional, kind, happy and caring people. The treatment areas are spotless, very comfortable with a calm relaxing feeling. The lighting and... More
