The market trip was good, but it felt unnecessary as all the ingredients could have been demonstrated and tasted in the cooking class before commencement of cooking. Lulu the instructor was informative and clearly conveyed the steps and processes involved in each recipe. The dishes were surprisingly simple to make, and yummy to eat. However the class was too big,... More

Prior to actually cooking anything you go on a market tour, the guide is a very friendly lady who does a wonderful job at showing you the various types of produce on offer, whilst walking you thru the local market. Next off to the cooking school, a clean , well organized space, where around 30 spots are set up with... More

We had been recommended to do this by people whilst travelling so we didn't really look into what people had written on here, I wish I did now. We thought by paying $27 that we would be getting our money's worth with preparing and cooking from scratch. Instead we had to watch the chef prepare the dishes and we would... More

Very professional cooking school. The market tour was fine, but a bit basic. The recipes though were really good. We cooked wonderful crispy pancakes and some great dumplings. Our teacher was very sweet and a little eccentric, which kept everyone engaged and enthusiastic. A really fun morning, and you leave with you belly full.

We took our in-laws to the School this at the weekend. We started with a hot and sweaty ride and look at the places the source the raw ingredients’. The local veg and herb use a good seaweed based fertiliser for nutrient to the plants. I did wander about the ground source residual chemicals from the war but thought it... More

We really enjoyed the Morning Glory cooking course. The Chef knew her stuff and the whole thing was very professional. The classroom at 'The Market' looked to be brand new and the assisting staff very helpful. I love to cook Asian dishes so it was fantastic to learn some new skills, plus the takeaway gift was very much appreciated. Looking... More

My wife and daughter and I spent a terrific morning with a walk through the Hoi An market with Ms Lu, followed by a cooking lesson with Ms LuLu (then eating our own cooking). But, it should be emphasized, our travel agent had booked us to be on our own rather than in the large-to-larger groups also on offer. (We're... More

I'm afraid I didn't enjoy it much, despite it being in a great facility, and being well organised. The problems are that you're in a class of 30 people, you can't see or hear very well, and half the time the class doesn't really knowing what they're doing. Ms Vy taught our class. I think it's fair to say that... More

This demo is good for beginners who have little or no exposure to Vietnamese food. Vy is a savvy business woman who pushes her other restaurants and cookbooks in the class. It is less about learning how to cook and more broadly intro to Vietnamese food. It also goes on for a long time, 8:30-1:30.

The bicycle tour and cookery lesson was the most wonderful experience so far in our Vietnam adventures. The wonderful girls looked after us all morning, one leading from the front, one at the back for those less confident. Saddles all adjusted we're off...through the early morning streets out the suburbs to learn about rice, peanuts, Cao Lau noodles and mung... More
