A place not to be missed. Great for some filipino food or local delights. Especially seafood! BBQ fresh seafood or cooked in other styles, by choosing your own fishes, prawns, lobsters, squids (sotong) don't forget to bargin. Basok (an Indonesia noodle) of meehoon in soup with meat and topped with fried spring onions. Drink, the giant coconuts to quench thirst.... More

It is the streets, you just gotta do it. Although it was a little cramped, then again it is e streets. We bought many things from there & we had street food. Everything about it is amazing, & to be able to bargain prices, thts a plus point along with the most beautiful sunset we ever saw. More

Food, souveniors n shop all in 1 place! Theres is a section of the market next to the waterfront that sells fresh produce like fresh fish n vegetables. The market then moved on to the cooked food section where u have stalls selling road side food like grilled seafood, chicken wings, rice n noodles. The place is not that clean... More

Its a great place to buy souveniers. You need to bargain for good price. Normally 1/2 the price. We enjoyed the chicken wing in the evening market which starts at 5:00 o'clock. Just beware of beggers. Do not give money coz they'll end up calling their friends. More

Can't understand the people saying its smelly and dirty. It's a fish market!! And with the most amazing tuna, massive prawns and rays I've ever seen. The guys cutting them up are artists. Go there just before sunset to watch the fish being prepared, have a beer further along on the boardwalk watching the amazing sunset and then come back... More

the place is ideal if you're looking for a nice and cheap souvenirs. They have key chains, handcraft bags, jewelry made of pearls and stones, souvenir T-Shirts, ashtrays and wallets, i also saw boomerangs and many more. The space on every store is not so big, most of the store keepers or sales lady/man are Filipino ( That's why they... More

Anyone visiting Kota Kinabalu town center would not miss this market. It smacks right besides the fish market and another market selling food and snacks, just opposite Le Meridien hotel. "Pusat Kraftangan Kota Kinabalu" signage is the indication that you're in the right place. Shops open from as early as 9am (though not all open this early and some will... More

Good photo opportunities if you have an hour or two to kill in KK but it is really hot in the market area during the daytime. It would be best to go there at night as it will be more enjoyable. Lots of little stuff to buy and look at, we really liked the salted seafood. Some venders let us... More
