Tucked away behind the Sarawak Museum this place is well worth a visit. The building is delightfully cool and the exhibits well laid out and labelled. It gives an insight into the history of Islam around Kuching.

While a little hidden by another museum in front of it, the Islamic museum is definitely worth a visit. It is well laid out and the displays have English descriptions. The museum houses many treasures and antiques, illustrating Islam and life as a Muslim, and on balance is very informative.
Many Islamic collection are displayed here. But, you may found it special where Persian collection can be found here too. Different era of Islamic story can be read here too.
This was quite an impressive building from the ouside but the presentation inside was totally different to expectation being more about burial or after death customs which I found interesting but my companion found upsetting
It's a little far away from other museums so maybe it's why not too many people visit there. A very beautiful building with a lovely garden.Every piece of exhibits are fantastic. Incredible art work!
