I grew up coming to this church to hear mass or to pray and meditate. There have been a lot of big improvements to this place, like the huge stained glass windows and a mausoleum just below the Church's park. Lots of seating areas at the mezzanine. This church is close to main highway (EDSA) as well as the wet... More

My sister got married in this church, so I have rather fond memories of it. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is quite charming and the fact that it sits amidst the hustle and bustle of the city only highlights how quiet it is once you get inside the church. It isn't quite a tourist attraction yet but with the... More

I went to early morning services each day here. I just say outside while mass was said. And then I also would catch the mid week service. It was a very nice setting, and a beautiful little chapel.

If you want to pray or be in a solemn athmosphere away from the crowds and traffic you will enjoy this church. Rare tourists, usually only locals.

A solemn place to pray. It's quite and not too big and have ample parking place. Going there might be stressful because you have to pass narrow streets.

Guadalupe Church is very much a community church than some historical site, I wouldn't recommend it for tourists because its not meant to be a tourist spot. Its been mentioned by some reviewers that the neighborhood surrounding it is sleazy, poor, ghetto-ish. This is the poor community the Church is serving. People have built their shanties around the church for... More

This is a nice little church located on a hill. The view used to be great as I have seen in old pictures. However with all the high rise condos around, it has lost its vantage point and view. I also agree that the sorrounding neighborhood is not so safe. I would only go here during Holy Week for the... More

The church itself is okay. However, the neighborhood OUTSIDE the church is not so safe.

Not really wasted. But if you've got 4 hours, there is much to do in and around Makati/Manila beyond the shopping malls and restaurants. Of course, you can always head back for the nightlife in either.......but during the day, check out some of the Spanish heritage within the Metropolis to appreciate how "un-Asian" the Philippines is. After all, the Spaniards... More
