just a typical site for strolling and relaxing around and to know the history of Cebu. The place is just a walking distance from Sutukil. Still beautiful.

This historic site is a great way to learn about the history of Mactan Island. There are many affordable souvenir shops around if you are looking for a bargain.

It was worth seeing, but too many beggars. It made the trip unenjoyable. Also the site was poorly maintained. This is a great place to visit if you care about Filipino history; however, a waste of time if you are a foreign traveler. Your time is better spent in at the resort or in the mall.

Well worth a visit a) for historic reasons b) if you wish to buy seashells and/or tourist nick nacks (necklaces etc) -the stalls 'on site' AND nearby are excellent and reasonably priced

Or killed Magellan, depending on which history book you read. The little park is beautiful in its simplicity. The Lapu Lapu statue, Magellan monument, and a few stalls by the entrance selling (expensive) Cebuano souvenirs and sun hats. Well located on your way to the Airport with inviting attendants. You feel at home and do not want to leave/depart so soon....

if your unto historical visits.. this is one place worth checking it out but be extra careful in buying pearls

I've seen it alot but it never fails to amaze me. It might be old but its ASTONOSHING! Can you imagine how it looked? Well, however you imagine it, it will never be as great as seeing it face to face

if you are visiting Cebu and want to know more of its rich culture and history, this place should be included on your itineraries. The Lapu Lapu Status at the Mactan Shrine is one landmark that you guys should spend a day with.
