Pulled into Hiroshima around 5pm, and from our hotel room we saw that there was going to be a game on. So we asked the concierge if you could buy walk up tickets, they didn't know, so we went over.
10 rows back, right at third base for two tickets cost 3500yen each, amazing!
The chanting, trumpeting, and style of...

Mazda stadium is fairly new, and it's amazing. It's very close to the JR Hiroshima station and there are multiple entrances around the stadium. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or at any Lawson's Loppi machine. The vibe there is just great. There is so much Carp pride in Hiroshima that, even as a non Baseball fan myself, I...

This is a great new ballpark and the only Japanese ballpark with a concourse with views open to the field. The stadium is an easy / enjoyable 10-15 minute walk from JR Hiroshima stadium. Upper deck seats have good views of the mountains north of Hiroshima and of the passing Shinkansen trains, but have no seat backs - beware. Also,...

Have never been to a baseball game before but this was amazing. Definately a highlight of the trip without a doubt. Bought ticket from 7-11 very easy to do. Brilliant atmosphere well worth it. 5 minute walk from main train station
If you are a baseball fan, this is a mind-numbing experience.
The fans are polite.
The bathrooms are clean and plentiful.
The drinks are the same price as they are outside the ball park (and they deliver it to you at your seat).
You only cheer when your team is up.
(The quality of the play is a below the...

Being able to enjoy baseball in Japan is awesome. The Carp are a really good team and the fans make it all worthwhile. The park food is different than what we're used to in the States, but it just adds to the fun of the experience. And just wait for the 7th inning stretch... I can't give it away, but...

We walked from our hotel to the stadium, joining a growing stream of fans on foot and on bicycle. Our seats were perfect for a view of first base, and our team won! The young women serving draft beer from backpacks come right to your seat! And the food is wonderful - great bowls of noodles, rice bowls, rice balls,...

We are American Baseball fans. We don't know too much about Japanese baseball. Even with limited knowledge this was a fantastic game!
The fans were enthusiastic, great cheers, great spirit! And where else can one eat udon in the stands? As an extra bonus the beer guys and gals walked through the stands with kegs of cold beer. Perfect!
We...

If you have never been to a Japanese baseball game, then you have to go! Even if you don't like baseball. I don't really care for baseball, but I LOVE going to Japanese baseball games!! And the Mazda stadium in Hiroshima is a beautiful stadium that is conveniently located within walking distance from Hiroshima Station. The stadium is very clean...
