Nice to find somewhere which hasn't been overtaken by concrete as there is a lack of parks in Japan. Nice place for a day trip, and there is a nice ramen shop there too.

Nunobiki falls are very pretty and worth a look if you enjoy short walks and picturesque scenery (and if you go when there are still some fall leaves around, it's even more picturesque). Nunobiki, to me, is less valuable as a destination in itself but is good as an off-the-beaten-path side trip that takes in not only the waterfalls but also the Park that sits above Kobe (and is accessible via cable car from Shin Kobe). It's not the most difficult hike in the world; it has steep sections, but not too much....
