I love battling the traders at Petaling Street. Some times they win, sometimes I do. Either way, enjoy the contest. Don't lose your cool at the DVD sales people who won't take no easily! Grab a bite to eat and a cold beer at the end. Enjoyable night.

The most terrible China Town I have ever been to. The Chinese hawkers are rude and the goods are over-priced. When you try to bargain with them, they give you a bad look.

Most of the food stalls and the vibe that used to be there are just overshadowed by cheap knock off sales pitches....

Lots of knock off goods to be purchased and great food stalls to try. Our hostel was in Chinatown and overall I felt safe here which wasn't always the case in Kuala Lumpur. Be prepared to be gawked at and thrown inappropriate comments if you are not clothed from head to toe.
