My husband and I visited the museum in June 2013. We decided to check it out since we were already in Allentown for the day. My husband is a classic car buff, and we have been to many other car museums. This museum was very nice and clean. We were there on a Friday afternoon, and it was pretty quite... More

This museum - about transportation, trucks and cars is facinating - especially to an "old car" person. The displays are excellent and the staff and volunteers are very willing to provide information and background. The facility is supported by Mack Trucks, which has its HQ in Allentown and the truck display is great. Two floors of exhibits make this at... More

As a car guy this museum was fantastic from the peddle cars to the motor cycles to the NASCAR and racing display to the trucks. Everything was great...however someone in housekeeping has to spend some time scraping the wads of gum left by the numerous school groups that have visited the facility. Coming off the elevator to the second floor... More

This is museum is a class act. Very high quality displays with many great cars, motorcycles and trucks. The museum lays out the history of transportation, so you learn about route 66, the Pennsylvania Pike, and other great roads. In addition to the many cars, on the second floor is a exhibit explaining how cars are restored. There is a... More

It's a shame it took us so long to go here! We live in Allentown for 26 years and only went when invited to a charity auction. It was a fun time, catered by a local chain restaraunt and that was not so good, but the evening was full of enjoyment seeing the old "woody wagons" and the bicycles! We... More

We found out about this museum from the "Rack of Attractions" in our hotel lobby. From the flyer, it didn't look like much, and if my 9 year old son hadn't begged (he LOVES cars), we probably wouldn't have gone. SO glad we did! What a little gem of a museum in the middle of nowhere (although plans are in... More

This is a very nice museum covering transportation from motorized carriages to the modern day hybrid. Every 6 months a new exhibit comes in. We saw many things we didn't know existed. When we were there they featuried Woodie cars. I brought my husband as a birthday treat. We enjoyed the 50s malt shop after touring the museum. The volunteers... More

A very cool place that is extremely educational to see the many types of cars and trucks. The outside car shows make it even better

America on Wheels has a variety of cars, trucks, bikes, motorcycles, and pedal cars. They are attractively displayed against large murals with posters, mannequins, tools, and even a statue adding to the display. The signage was informative. There were interactive displays with a Mack truck to "drive", wood blocks with questions to answer, and headphone wands. I particularly enjoyed the... More
