If you want to find out why Texans are so proud of their state, start by seeing the 45 minute I-MAX showing at the Texas Museum. Then tour the rest of the museum and learn about the history of this state.
This museum is fabulous!! Creative and interesting displays that make history come to life tell the story of Texas. Just enough to look at, read, and watch. So interesting. I wish all museums were this good.

This beautiful museum is organized chronologically and is very easy to navigate. Our group of 4 just wandered at a leisurely pace, on our own, and spent time where we were most drawn.
I really enjoyed finding out about the...

We purchased 2 adult tickets which allowed us to see the current video( Star of Destiny) in the theater and the exhibits for $22. We spent approx 1.5...

Most of what we saw was re-creations, other than some papers and weapons, It's a nice building, and helpful people working there, but the exhibits were disappointing. Next day I saw a separate buillding a few blocks away, the state Archives. I wondered if they had exhibits, but didn't go in.
