If you go to the Pentagon website about a month before your trip, you can request a tour of the inside of the Pentagon. This is a guided tour that is LOADED with information. Don't take your camera because you cannot take pictures, but just seeing it in person it will blow you away.

This is where it all happens. Wide hallways, relatively dark and foreboding. Clean. Lots of people work there. One of the largest parking lots I have ever seen! A regular fortress!

We had a tour set up before leaving for DC maybe about 3 months ahead of time and enjoyed every minute there. The guides are Honor guards and are very informative. They know all facts about the building. I did not expect there to be so many shops and eating areas. Even a chocolate store. We could not use any... More

I must state right from the beginning that we didn't book an inside trip/tour in advance and had no intention of trying to get in "on the day". We just wanted to see the building given it's history and importance to Washington and the country as a whole. On the plus side it's right on the Pentagon Metro stop. However... More

I work here, and the guided tours are done by top enlisted folks who have earned the right to be honor guard. Taking a guided tour is a must-do in DC, as you get to hear some fascinating facts about the building and the people who work here (example: there are two crews of workers whose full time job is... They have really presented a wonderful memorial to those who lost their lives on 9-11. The tour guides were there that day and knew the folks. I had coworkers who were taken away from us on that day, there. I value and appreciate all that they've done to keep their memory alive. A reflective and lovely tribute.

One of the most impressive sites in Northern Virginia is the Pentagon. I would use the link below to schedule a tour. You might have seen the Pentagon from the air flying into Washington D.C. I was fortunate to get to tour the Pentagon as a guest of a Colonel but the public tours might be better.

Great to see this amazing building - it's huge! If you want to go inside make sure you book a tour at least 14 days in advance!!

We have been to Washington many times over the years, I have been to the Pentagon (building, not memorial) a couple of times, but my family had never visited so we decided to try and get a tour (if you can call it that, more later). From what I could find regular Pentagon tours need to be booked through the... More

we have tried to get in here twice, the first time we went we got through all the security and then they asked us for photo ID and we had none as our passport were in the hotel safe due to the large amount of pickpocket warnings so we had to leave. on our second visit we found out it... More
