The principal place of Ouro Preto, the Praça Tiradentes is sorrounded by the Inconfidence Museum and the older Administrative Building and Astronomic Observatory (Escola de Minas). The ancient principal street of Ouro Preto (and in some way still nowadays) ends on this square. It's the neuralgic place of the town.

This square is the center of Ouro Preto and is filled with restaurants, museums and shops galore. There are several nice gemstone shops on the square worth checking out.

A very cultural place, with parties, shows and all kind of events in the main place of Ouro preto. There are much young people there, because of the university.

This is where everyone congregate and they often have special events such as concerts, shows, etc... Just about every street in Ouro Preto leads back to this square
