Beautiful museum with a vast diversity of items/collections. Photography, artifacts from slavery area, videos, costumes, books, paintings, lots of color and snipits of cultures all across Africa and Brazil. Would definitely recommend!

You get to visit the park and see some Niemeyer architecture while visiting a large collection of art that not only outlines the Afro-Brasilian history and culture but highlights the production of some of the artists that they have produced.

As Brazilian, I naturally love my country. But this museum is just spectacular, It does not take long to visit, even though one can spend a whole day inside... colorful information about the mix of races, the strong religious aspects and the culture. My foreign friends always enjoy the visit!
